One of the hardest things about moving to the Costa Tropical or in fact any area in Spain is not knowing where things and places are when you have moved here. It takes time to find a plumber, electrician, builder doctor, a good hairdresser, the list is endless. There are lots of things that experience teaches you that you will not be prepared for . For example I know many people who have rang Telefonica for a new line and waited 3 months and more but when you attend in person to their office with the necessary paperwork you should be up and running within 10 days. Wise Move to Spain now offer an orientation service whereby we not only give you details of English speaking tradesmen and essential services, but we also take care of the set up of utilities , Identification numbers etc.  This information of services in Almunecar, La Herradura, Salobrena, Motril and the other towns on the Costa Tropical, has taken three years of trial and error by ourselves, friends and clients, so be sure not to make the same mistakes as others before you.

You need to understand that here on the Costa Tropical all the paperwork is all in Spanish, all the service desks are Spanish speakers!  There are generally no English speakers at the schools, police administration center, electricity, gas safety etc. Gestiors are administrators/translators and will charge individually for each job. With regard to NIE numbers and residence cards this is often per person - thus is very expensive for a family with children !! We have put their approximate charges in brackets for your comparison.
