Mortgages are quite difficult to obtain at this moment for property in Spain. The rates available are very low at 2.5% and there are terms up to 40 years to repay. However the underwriting is quite tough if you are looking for a high loan to value ( between 60 and 85%) whereby the bank will want copy of tax documents, payslips, bank statements, credit reference, previous lenders reference. Below 60% they are more flexible regarding income or previous financial history.
